Offering to Inawen – Makes one serving
Ingredients
- 8.7 liters of blood
- 120 pieces long peppers
- 60 pieces red onions chopped
- 30 cups vinegar
- 30 cups water
- 20 heads of garlic, minced
- 20 dried bay leaves
- 1.2 kilos white sugar
- 1.35 kilos canola oil
- 9 kilos pork ears
- 4 kilos pig liver
- 4 kilos pork lungs
- 4 kilos pork intestines
- 30 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat oil and saute chopped garlic and onion until translucent.
- Add in Pigs ears, liver, lungs and intestines. Saute until meat is brown and a fond forms. Add bayleaf and stir.
- Pour in water. Constantly mix, making sure to scrap the fond and bring it to a boil.
- Cook on low heat until meat is fork tender – around 3-4 hours.
- Once meat is soft add in blood and cook for one more hour.
- Pour vinegar and add sugar and long green pepper. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Once fully cooked, stir in cooked white rice. (Very important!!! The offering will not work unless the rice and blood are combined.)
- Serve the offering to Inawen and pray it satiates her.
- Repeat recipe until spirit is full.
