English Version

The Lightning of the Anitan

  1. What they are:

The Anitan belong to the class of higher spirits, inhabiting the highest layer of Skyworld.

They are creatures of the light and flame, the harbingers of storm.

  • How to know they are incarnate:

When you hear the ear shattering thunder, know that the Anitan is near.

When you see the sparks in the sky descending unto the earth, the Anitan is near.

When the atmosphere is heavy and the sky breaks. When the denizens of the Skyworld visits the Earthworld, the Anitan is near.

  • How to deal with them:

Give them their due respect and offerings.

Placate them with silver words.

They are arrogant to a fault.

Sing their praises unless you want to be smote.

Do not pretend you are more important than they.

Request for a boon, never demand it.

  • What they can give you:

Mastery over the tempest and the cloudburst.

The ability to be one with the wind and fly.

The seething power of the bolts.

  • Why would you try:

Desperation.

Debt.

Destruction.

The Hiligaynon language, also colloquially referred often by most of its speakers simply as Ilonggo, is an Austronesian regional language spoken in the Philippines by about 9.1 million people, mainly in Western Visayas and SOCCSKSARGEN, most of whom belong to the Visayan ethnic group, mainly the Hiligaynons. It is the second-most widely spoken language and a member of the so-named Visayan language family and is more distantly related to other Philippine languages.
