Silew-silew

I see the lights

Violently carving

The night

In half

They traipse through

The thickets of the forest

What they seek

No mortal can know

The spirits are cowards

A mortal’s curse

Causing them to flee

They delight in

Leading those astray

The swamps of

Their home are

A graveyard

For their victims

The drowned

They wait

Raging against the mortals

That they once were

I sit and silently

Observe

The rainbow flickers

The passing of spirits

The Silew-silew
