
Fun Facts about the Agalon Hayopan:
- They are the laziest aswang.
- Their pet crocodiles have heightened senses. Their vision, hearing and sense of smell help them navigate their surroundings.
- The aswang raise their crocodiles from birth.
- Their crocodiles are known to defend their territory fiercely.
- When the Agalon Hayopan starts to crave human flesh, they simply order their crocodile pets to killing their victims and bring the bodies back for the aswang’s next meal.
- They prefer to live by the river, to be close to their food source.
- The crocodiles are adapted to their fresh water habitat, being able to swim through the river with ease.
- Because of their elusive nature, the crocodiles hide under the shade until they are called by their aswang masters.
- The Philippine crocodile is considered endangered, yet those people that live by the rivers hunt them down as they believe that they might be pets of the aswang.
- The crocodiles that are wild are generally not aggressive, but if they are raised by the aswang they are out for blood during their hunt.
- The crocodiles are loyal until death. Once you kill their aswang master the pet will throw themselves at the killer. They would rather die than live alone.
- They are usually found in the Bicol region.
- The Agalon Hayopan can live in a generational aswang family. They treat their crocodiles as family and are also known to pass down their pets to the new aswang generation.
